Who We Are

Homeless Animals Rescue Team (HART) is a small group located in Talladega, Alabama. HART is not new to the world of rescue. Our small group of volunteers and fosters have nearly 40 years of working with animal rescue. Each volunteer has a strong commitment to animal rescue, making us a very strong group of animal advocates.  HART is an all volunteer team, including our Board of Directors.

Mission

  • To reduce the number of homeless animals in Talladega area
  • To provide necessary medical care for the homeless animals that we take in
  • To find quality homes for adoptable animals
  • To help with the transport of animals to approved public/private rescue groups or to a new home
  • To ensure that each animal receives the dignity and respect that they deserve
  • To help educate the community about the necessity of spaying/neutering, mircochipping, regular heartworm and flea prevention, and yearly vet visits
